Sue Kennie has lived in Guildford for over 30 years. Both of her children attended George Abbot and following university both are in employment in Guildford and Melbourne.

In her own career Sue gained extensive experience of the design and delivery of training and education in the hospitality industry. As Training and Development Manager for Baxter Storey she was instrumental in setting up their Chef and Leadership Academies. She has also delivered the Institute of Hospitality (IOH) Diploma in Management and ILM level 3 for employees following an Apprenticeship.

Her teaching career commenced in the College of Arts, Science & Technology in Kingston Jamaica (now the University of Technology) where she taught for 4 years as well as at Brooklands College and Farnborough College of Technology.

 

Over the past 6 years, prior to retirement Sue has run her own training consultancy delivering management and leadership training as well as mandatory training in relation to health and food safety within the hospitality industry.
